Charoite is an unusual mineral with an extremely complex chemical structure. It looks like a form of marble, with streaks of light purple alternating with gray, white, and black specks, and sometimes contains inclusions of a gold-colored mineral called tennesite. It's named after the Chara River in Siberia, Russia. It is rare because Russia is the only known source. Charoite's beautiful swirling, flowing appearance is known as a tool of transformation, working to cleanse and release old patterns and bring in new energy. The soft purple shade signifies spiritual opening; the black specks the transmutation of negative influences. Silvery streaks link a lunar influence and cleansing emotions, and specks of gold signify input of solar radiance. It is a powerful amplifier of personal energy and power, cleansing, grounding and preparing the way for spiritual expansion.
