Selenite, also known as satin spar, is a stone of mental clarity. This clarity enhances mental flexibility and enables strong decision making abilities, it is also a stone of truth and honesty. Formed in liquid, this stone represents the dynamic fluidity of water, serving as a universal harmonizer by lending its soft fluid support wherever the body is weakest. Due to its fluid quality, it is considered a powerful crystal for removing energy blocks, particularly from the physical & etheric bodies. Selenite can be used to dispel negativity both on an emotional & etheric level which makes it a good stone for protection. Selenite is considered to be a 'mental body stone' which also opens, aligns & clears the aura bodies. It is able to transmit light, energy & information. Selenite can naturally contain inclusions of other minerals, leading to red, brown, or even blue coloring in places and natural internal cleaving. These inclusions and cleaving do not affect selenite structurally in any way and are purely cosmetic. Selenite is relatively soft, with a hardness of around 2 on the Mohs scale. This means it can be easily scratched by harder minerals and materials so please handle with care.
